At Mount Berry, your beloved cats and dogs aren’t just pets—they’re cherished members of your family and ours. Rooted in a profound love for every paw and whisker, our animal hospital passionately emphasizes wellness care and strives to develop deep bonds with every pet and pet parent who walks through our doors. Our commitment extends beyond veterinary expertise, offering a haven where every bark and meow is recognized and adored.
Embarking on a compassionate journey since 2006 and nestling into our new location in 2009, Dr. Todd has been a steadfast veterinary presence in Rome, curating a sanctuary that echoes a heartfelt “welcome home” to every patient and client.
Rebranded as Mount Berry Animal Hospital, our commitment to providing personalized, expert care has only deepened over the years. By staying privately owned, Dr. Todd and our team ensure a friendly environment where everyone is known by name, celebrating a shared journey of love and care with your furry family members.
Dr. Todd purchased Glenwood Veterinary Clinic in 2005 and relocated it to its present location in June of 2009. Following the opening of the new state-of-the-art facility the name was changed to Mount Berry Animal Hospital to better reflect its location.
Prior to coming to Rome, Dr. Todd worked as an associate veterinarian from 2001 to 2005 at Conyers Animal Hospital in Conyers Georgia. Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Todd did human medical research in the areas of breast cancer and hypertension. He also taught human physiology at Marshall University School of Nursing and Cellular and Molecular Biology at Marshall School of Medicine.
Dr. Todd currently resides in Cave Spring with his wife Donna, 2 cats and 3 dogs.

EXCELLENTBased on 241 reviewsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Meteems2024-07-16They are not my normal vet. I had a medical emergency today with my 15-year-old dachshund. I called and they were so kind. They let me bring him in. After he had a seizure I made the decision to let him go. The vet text and the vet all were so nice and comforting during my heartbreak. They have definitely gained a new customer for my other animals.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Miki Barnett2024-07-01I appreciate Dr. Todd always takes time to explain and he does not push unnecessary tests. The fact my cat who is always scared of strangers actually snuggled up to him at the first visit was a plus :-)Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Heidi Wilcox2024-06-27Wonderful, caring vet. We got to the end of our rope with our dog Charlie due to her behavior issues (she almost killed someone's dog) and we thought we would have to put her down even though she is in good health. The vet told us she was not comfortable putting her down and asked if we had reached out to the shelter (they are at full capacity) I did let them know I called and how they are full. The vet offered to let us surrender her for 6 months to see if they can re-home her. I'm glad the vet gave us that option. I will be following up with them to check and see if they have had success but it's nice to know my dog is in good hands.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Holly A2024-04-17Our 10 1/2 yo dachshund, Ruby, has been having orthopedic and liver and gall bladder issues. Last week as I was in tears over possible bad news, Spencer and Kimber were so compassionate with the tissues and kind words. Dr Todd called a couple of days later to check on her. I appreciate the care and time. Ruby is my heart and soul and with others babies that we have had to say bye, Dr Todd just seems to know when it’s time. Though we think Ruby has more years ahead, I trust he will know with her too. God bless the whole staff and thank you for loving our babies. Special shout out to Dr Granville for assisting with the ultrasound and giving another perspective. ❤️🐾Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Word Ministry Group2024-03-05Dr. Nia Granville and Stormy and the entire staff were extraordinary kind and thoughtful.
