Give Our Cats and Dogs a Forever Home

At Mount Berry Animal Hospital, we sometimes have wonderful cats and dogs under our care who are searching for their forever homes. Any pets kept at our facility are tested for heartworm and fully up-to-date on their vaccinations and parasite prevention prior to adoption. These pets are ready to find loving families!

While we try to keep this page current, the list of adoptable pets may change. To get the latest information on available pets, we encourage you to give us a call.

Pets Currently Up for Adoption

Below, you will find brief bios of our current adoptable pets, including details about their personalities and needs. Each of these animals is looking for a happy home where they can thrive.

NAME: Doxie

AGE: 11 years

GENDER: Female

SPAYED: Yes

BREED: Dachshund

Doxie is very friendly, sweet, and affectionate. If you have treats, she will do tricks! She is an older girl who would benefit from a low-energy household. Doxie was formerly the only dog in her home, so she would be just fine as the center of attention in her future home. If you have other pets, she gets along well with other older animals, but isn’t too sure about high-energy puppies. Doxie does have Cushing’s disease and heart disease, which means she will need daily medication and occasional blood work. Both of her medical conditions are well controlled, and they don’t slow her down any.
